2018 GPTA Awards Nominations

Below is a list of the GPTA Awards Nominations. Please use the nomination link to make your nomination(s). This will direct you to a simple form, and our awards committee will follow up with your nominee. The deadline for nominations is Friday, October 12, 2018, at midnight. Thank you!

NOMINATION FORM

Junior Professional of the Year

Professional must manage a portion of the overall junior tennis program, incorporating 10 and under programming. Professional must be a GPTA member in good standing.

Community Outreach Award 

This event, service or tournament must impact the tennis community positively and impact GPTA members in an effort to grow the game of tennis.

Junior Program of the Year     

Tennis facility or academy that has a program specializing in high performance players that participate in tournament and/or Junior Team tennis.  The program not only works on the development of junior tennis players and their progress, but also maintains an emphasis on character and sportsmanship.

Pro-Am of the Year   

Pro-Am must be run by a GPTA member. Pro-Am must have a charitable component.

 Community Service Award    

Nominee must be a GPTA member. Nominee must provide service to the community through tennis.

10 & Under Pro of the Year 

Individual or club that demonstrates an outstanding effort in developing 10 and under junior tennis players and programs. Individual or facility management must be a member of the GPTA in good standing.

Newcomer of the Year 

New GPTA member, club, association, representative, or independent professional who has positively contributed to and participated in GPTA meetings and events. Nominee has provided outstanding service to their club, community, school or organization. Nominee has been a member of GPTA no longer than 2 years.

George Amaya Director of the Year-Large Facility   

Director must manage a facility with 9 or more courts. Director must be responsible for managing 2 or more professionals. Director must be a GPTA member in good standing.

Head  Professional of the Year  

Professional must manage a portion of the overall adult tennis program. Professional must be a GPTA member in good standing

Outstanding Tennis Programming of the Year  

Applicant must demonstrate growth in programming participation and quality from previous years. Overall program must be made of individually comprehensive parts including a junior program, adult program, league program, special interest clinics, maintenance program, retail service, and special events. Program should contribute to the local tennis community through charity events, city or state tournaments, and/or hosting annual tennis events for special interest groups. Must offer a diverse selection of special events and competition for its membership/players. All tennis professionals on staff must be GPTA members. 

Service to the Industry Award

Nominee must be a GPTA member. Nominee must demonstrate leadership and a strong impact on the tennis industry including players, professionals and tennis organizations. 

Independent Professional of the Year  

Professional must teach a minimum of 20 hours per week. Professional must be a GPTA member in good standing.

Director of the Year-Small Facility   

Director must manage facility with no more than 8 courts. Director must be responsible for managing one or more professionals. Director must be a GPTA member in good standing.
