Fall is a special time of the year for the Atlanta area tennis community. The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which brings the tennis community, along with Northside Hospital, together to find a cure for breast cancer. Tennis Against Breast Cancer has been a part of the tennis community for over 20 years and has brought much needed awareness and funding for research in finding a cure. Because of research, Northside is seeing improvements in results of diagnosis and treatment for cancer that has impacted so many in our community and around the world.
The two mornings of Friday, October 6 & 27, Northside Hospital will again be hosting the "Tennis Against Breast Cancer Event" at local clubs. It will be a great opportunity for the GPTA membership to give back and support this event. It will be a morning of teaching teams from 9 am - 11:30 am at the local clubs. For those volunteering your time, Northside Hospital will pay $150.00 per professional that volunteers their time.
